An Introduction
Welcome to the Aspley State School Amateur Swimming Club.
This season marks the 43rd year of our club's operation, providing opportunities for generations of children to develop their proficiency in and enjoyment of the sport of swimming.
Aspley has always been a strong swimming club, attracting large numbers of members and achieving great results in interclub competitions. This season Aspley is competing in Division 3 of the BSA competition
Aims
The aims of the club are to:
- Promote swimming as a competitive sport
- Encourage water confidence and fitness
- Encourage self - improvement
- Promote good sportsmanship
In addition to our Friday night club swims your family has the opportunity, and is actively encouraged to participate in, the following structured programmes:
- Learn to Swim for children from 5 years of age up to adults
- Stroke development and training programs for competitive swimmers.
- Fitness programs for recreational swimmers of all ages.
We trust that your family will enjoy the activities offered throughout the 2009-2010 season.
