Mighty Mitchell Wins Again!

Brilliant blue blitzes the rest of the field in a nailbiting finish to the recent swimming carnival. Mitchell house was trailing Oxley all day when they emerged as 2009 Aspley State School Swimming Carnival Champions. Oxley were riding a wave of confidence after taking out the junior school swimming carnival earlier in the day. They continued to be on top of the leaderboard for most of the day when Mitchell dug deep into their reserves of determination, effort, participation and sheer guts in their pursuit of sporting glory. THe result was a cliff hanger right to the end with Mitchell's celebrations a mix of excitement and sheer relief having acheived their goals for yet another year in overcoming a strong challenge from the other two sporting houses. Well done Mitchell house!
