The Aspley Great Race

The Great Race commenced last Wednesday due to the wet weather on Monday. It’s wonderful to see so many students and parents participating. The Great Race is a year level competition, a virtual race starting from Brisbane and heading North up the coast initially to Gladstone but I believe we will make it much further by the Easter Holidays. Whilst, the Great Race is promoting a little healthy competition between year levels, the main purpose is to prepare students for the Aspley Cross Country tentatively booked in for Thursday April 15.

The Great Race commences at 8:15am each Monday, Wednesday and Friday, we welcome all parents, grandparents and friends to participate with the students. Come along and enjoy the fun and fitness.

The results, after three days of The Great Race are as follows:

Year 1 - 102km

Year 2 - 91.6km

Year 3 - 73.4km

Year 4 - 188.8km

Year 5 - 138.8km

Year 6 - 157.8km

Year 7 - 104.6km
